It is said that the Moonmirror can allow you to speak to any spirit, dead or alive, as if you were in the same room. But legends go further.
They whisper that the mirror does not merely reflect a face—it reflects a soul. Peer into its lunar glass at the stroke of midnight, and the silvered surface turns still as deep water. Call a name—softly, reverently—and the Moonmirror will answer with a ripple of pale light. The spirit you seek steps into view, shaped from moonfire and memory, able to speak, listen, and even touch the glass as though brushing fingertips across a veil only a breath thick.
Yet the mirror is not without will. Elune blessed it to reveal truth as gently—or as mercilessly—as moonlight itself. Those who gaze too long may find it reflecting not the spirit they sought, but the shadow they fear. The Moonmirror cannot lie, and it will not hide your reflection from the ones you summon.
Some say it can bridge distances as easily as it bridges life and death, allowing lovers divided by oceans to speak as though lying side by side beneath the same moon. Others claim that if the moon is new and the sky is dark, the mirror shows visions of what might be, rather than who was.
All agree on one thing: To look into the Moonmirror is to be seen in return—utterly.
